Crime Prevention Handbook
Every citizen has a role to play maintaining and improving the safe living environment that we already enjoy in Mississauga today.

We cannot afford to take community safety for granted. We all must play our part ensuring that Mississauga remains among the most livable cities in Canada.

Mississauga boasts that it is the safest city in Canada (based on comparative research undertaken annually by the Mississauga Crime Prevention Association) and it benefits from the unparalleled commitment to community safety and strong leadership of Mayor McCallion and the members of City Council in this regard. Mississaugans can also take great pride in the outstanding work of the Peel Regional Police in keeping Mississauga safe and secure. But the formula for community safety also includes every resident doing his or her part.

To assist Mississauga residents with their very important community safety responsibilities, the Mississauga Crime Prevention Association publishes a Crime Prevention Handbook annually.

The Handbook is an invaluable resource for both home and workplace and it is full of practical information that you can use everyday to keep your home, your family and your workplace secure and to avoid being the victim of a crime. Every year, 10,000 copies of this user friendly and colourful spiral bound resource are distributed free of charge to Mississauga homeowners and businesses.

Mississauga’s corporate community can support this initiative, while promoting their own products and services, by purchasing advertisements in the book. The ads are very reasonably priced, especially for such a high quality vehicle that will stay in the home and workplace and be referenced frequently, garnering ongoing advertising “impressions”. The handbook is an effective advertising tool for any business that wants to reach the homeowner or businessperson.
